The 24-peg screw-on style hook head threads permanently onto the top of a 1.5" rigid threaded electrical conduit center pole. Compatible with pixel strips, pixel strings, and traditional string lighting. Includes a star mount adaptor (1.5" to 1/2" threaded bushing) for attaching one of our star toppers directly to the hook head. The 24-peg version supports up to 24 light strings for a fuller, denser tree appearance compared to the 16-peg version.

The bolts serve two purposes: they can be used as hooks for hanging traditional or pixel string lighting, or they can be used to bolt RGB pixel strips directly to the hook head plate.

Kit includes:

  • 24-hole topper plate
  • 1.5" screw-on topper/hook head and mounting bolts
  • 24 bolts (for attaching pixel strips or as hooks for traditional strings)
  • Star mount adaptor (1.5" to 1/2" threaded bushing)
  • Center sleeve outer diameter: 2.15" (2 and 5/32")
  • Hook head plate outer diameter: 8.75" (8 and 3/4")
  • For use with 1.5" rigid threaded electrical conduit
  • Assembly required
  • 1-season warranty

Note: All mega tree components are designed for use with 1.5" rigid electrical conduit and couplings. They will not work with EMT conduit or plumbing couplings. Rigid electrical conduit couplings are much thinner than plumbing couplings — the hook head must be able to slide over the couplings and will not pass over a plumbing coupling.

What's the difference between the 16-peg and 24-peg versions?

The only difference is the number of attachment points for light strings. The 24-peg version supports up to 24 strings running from the top of the tree to the ground, resulting in a fuller, denser appearance. The 16-peg version supports up to 16 strings.

What's the difference between crank-up and screw-on hook heads?

A screw-on hook head is a fixed, permanent mount that threads onto the top of the pole. Strings are attached while the hook head is at the top. A crank-up hook head can be raised and lowered so strings can be attached at ground level. Screw-on is simpler; crank-up is preferred for taller builds.

Does this include a star mount adaptor?

Yes — the screw-on hook head includes a star mount adaptor (1.5" to 1/2" threaded bushing). The crank-up style hook head does not include this adaptor; it comes with the Guy Wire Adaptor Kit.

What center pole must I use?

This hook head is designed for 1.5" rigid threaded electrical conduit only — not EMT and not electrical conduit.

What star toppers are compatible with this hook head?

The included star mount adaptor accepts our 12" star, 18" star, 24" star, 33" Bethlehem star, and 3D 12" star tree toppers.

Do I need a pulley kit with a screw-on hook head?

No — screw-on hook heads mount permanently at the top of the pole and do not use a pulley mechanism. Pulleys are only needed with crank-up style hook heads. See the 24-Peg Crank Up version if you prefer a lowerable system.

That's why we specify the use of Rigid Electrical conduit not EMT or plumbing pipe. An electrical coupling is much thinner than a plumbing coupling.
