Why Pros Choose ProCore®

These are very nice. I like that they look almost exactly like an incan C7. I would say they are, for most people, 100% indistinguishable from the real thing. I also noticed these are improved from last year's offerings, the frosting of the plastic lens is improved greatly so the light output is very even no matter which way the bulb is facing.

I've been wanting to switch to LED bulbs for a while now but they are either too dim and/or the color doesn't look good. These bulbs look great however! We paired them with the SMD LED opaque red bulbs and they look awesome together. They are durable too! I dropped one from the roof on the rocks below and it didn't break. I'm very happy with these lights. Strongly recommend them!

[I originally purchased] the wrong type of C9's, twinkle vs. steady. They quickly replaced and made the exchange very accommodating! Temporarily tested bulbs in a string of 25. They are just as bright if not brighter then incandescent C9's! Definitely recommend if your looking to make the jump from incandescent to LED.

C7 OR C9?

The Right Bulb for the Job

C9 bulbs are the roofline standard — bold, street-visible light for ridgelines, architectural outlines, and commercial displays. C7 bulbs suit windows, doorway outlines, and wrapped trees. Both use standard screw bases (E12 for C7, E17 for C9), so they retrofit into any standard stringer.

ProCore® Questions & Answers

Do ProCore® bulbs fit my existing sockets?

Yes. C7 bulbs use the standard E12 screw base and C9 bulbs the standard E17 base, so they fit any standard stringer wire or commercial socket line.

Should I choose C7 or C9 bulbs?

C9 is the go-to for rooflines, ridgelines, and large architectural outlines. C7 suits windows, doorway outlines, and wrapped trees where a slightly smaller bulb fits the scale. Our C7 vs C9 guide walks through it in detail.

What is the difference between faceted and opaque lenses?

Faceted lenses refract the light for a classic sparkling look. Opaque (smooth) lenses diffuse it into a clean, even glow — the traditional ceramic-bulb style. Both use the same polycarbonate lens construction.

What makes ProCore® different from big box LED bulbs?

Big box bulbs typically use polystyrene lenses that break and fade outdoors, with low-output diodes. ProCore® uses a nearly indestructible polycarbonate lens, high-output SMD chips, and precision light filtering for stronger, more color-consistent output — backed by our Reindeer Proof™ Warranty.

Do ProCore® bulbs come with effects?

Yes. Twinkle versions add a random sparkle in warm white, cool white, and multicolor. RGB color-changing C9 bulbs and ColorCraft® multi-color palettes round out the line.

How much power do ProCore® bulbs use?

Standard C9 ProCore® bulbs draw just 0.84 watts each, so even long roofline runs stay light on power.
