I purchased a music box and have been testing it out. I am very excited to add it to my trimlights. I am in the process of planning my layout and how to cover the box as it will be outside.
I also put up my lights in October so I do not have to be on the roof when there is snow. I will put on roof lights and may just leave them. We will see.
Looking at the right lights to buy for the trees and to add to the roof of my house.

For some reason, it’s very difficult, in fact impossible, to get the strobe lights in the UK other than large industrial, so I was very pleased when Christmas Light Emporium decided they would start international deliveries.
Recommended highly for larger orders due to delivery costs.

My 10+ year old system just went kaput at the end of the season. I ordered the Christmas Light Emporium 4 channel controller to replace it. I couldn't wait a full year to see this in action so I plugged a string of lights into each channel. It looks awesome and I can't wait until Christmas to see the entire house in action!

We use these for a couple different rope light displays. Our first one is on a crane lifting and lowering a large present. The second one we built this year is a skid steer dumping a star and lights on to a static Christmas tree which then lights up completely decorated. These are tough units that will go for hours at a time vs some other controllers we have tried before.

We are using this one for a flower shop display this year with 4 red rope lights in the shape of a heart in 4 sizes. We are replacing the 4 channel chase controller used last year with a different effect. We like this one better.

We use this unit with 4 green rope lights to resemble grass coming out of a zero turn mower with Santa driving it. It works great

I put lights on our windmill for the holiday season, I used three sets on the blades so I could add a controller to animate it. I purchased a unit made by "Queens of Christmas" I was disappointed in the result, It would repeatedly go dark after cycling through channels 1,2 and 3. (1,2,3, out, 1,2,3, out etc) I found this Christmas Light Emporium company and bought one of their units, SO much better! it gave the illusion of the blades having a smooth and continuous rotation. I'm already looking forward to using some of their other products in my display next year!

Adding red and green strobes to respective red and green areas gives the added pop to make it come alive!

This is the most beautiful effect in my opinion. I am slowly building up my collection of these lights and I think I have enough next year to debut them for Christmas. Every year, my town has a battle of the bulbs, but NO ONE has these gorgeous Dreamspark smooth fade lights. Even my daughter's college friend remarked about how beautiful the lights were on our Christmas tree. Can't wait to take them outside next year! I wrapped the tree that is in front of my house with traditional lights but I added the strobe lights I purchased from here to give it that extra pop and I will definitely say that the strobe lights make the tree look 100times better. Super happy about the purchase that I had ordered 2 more sets and the delivery was extremely fast.
