This 250' spool of 18 AWG SPT1 zipcord wire is the foundation of a clean, professional Christmas light installation. Cut it to any length you need to build custom extension cords — the same approach used by professional holiday lighting installers to keep every job looking neat and uncluttered, without a tangle of mismatched extension cords in sight.
It also works great for building custom C7 or C9 socket stringers at any length and spacing you need. Combine with our replacement C7 or C9 sockets and slide-on vampire plugs to create a completely custom socket wire run from scratch. Pair it with one of our socket wire spools for large installations where you need both custom socket runs and custom power extension lengths.
SPT1 insulation is the standard choice for most Christmas light applications — lightweight, flexible, and rated for indoor and outdoor use.

Zipcord is a must-have for those of you wanting a clean, well-organized light setup. Customize your layout using the right color and SPT type zipcord for your individual needs. This is a quality product that is easy to use: just measure, cut and attach your vampire plugs.
This product has helped me tremendously. From extension cords in between sets of lights, to actually creating special effects . I used a C9 socket and bulb, a translucent globe, long section of wire, and a male SPT plug. Now I have light up globes in my tree, a little bit of work for sure but well worth the effort. Thank you for all of your help with my Christmas celebration.

This really cleaned up the front yard. I used to have multiple extension cords all zip ties together in a giant harness. This absolutely eliminated all of that and now it's simply one cord through the yard with multiple plugs. This is super easy to use and very straightforward.

This was exactly what I was looking for at a great price
Item is good quality, at a great price and fast shipping.
We have purchased multiple items over the past three years. We usually wait for item to go on sale to save money for the next year!! We love their lights, electric wire, and vampire plugs. We have a large Christmas display and the lights and plugs make it all work. We have 3 years on our first roll of wire (sp-1) and is holding up very well. We know the sp-2 is more outdoor rated, but we didn’t know that when we started the project. None the less all is quite good and when needed we will switch to the sp-2. Great products though, we will keep coming back. Shipping was fast also.
I have been putting off doing Vampire plugs for a while now, because I thought it would be difficult. I had a yard full of extension cord spaghetti and lights that weren't lit for lack of outlets. This turns out to be very easy and fast. Every plug locked in easily. I only needed 2 tools, a wire cutter and a large pair of pliers. And now every blow mold is lit and the lawn is not a tripping hazard. Don't wait. I'm a 68 year old woman and was able to do it all myself. Watch the videos before you put it together, I did not make any polarity mistakes!
Game changer for connecting all of my Christmas lights
This was first time using SPT1 wire after I heard about it and absolutely love it. I can flexibly wire my Christmas lights.
Every year I had zillions of extention cords running all over my front yard. This year I created my own extention cord using this wire and vampire end plugs as well as the female vampire slide-on plugs anywhere I needed an outlet. It made setting up my decorations so much easier and it looks a whole lot cleaner.
