How to Choose ColorCraft® LED Christmas Light Bulbs

C9 bulbs are the right choice for rooflines, building outlines, and large-scale displays, and ColorCraft® C9 bulbs let those high-visibility lines carry a palette instead of a single color. Because each palette matches a ColorCraft® string palette, you can run Arctic along the roofline and wrap the trees below in Arctic strings for one coherent look.

Choose the lens finish by the effect you want. Faceted lenses catch and scatter the light for a classic sparkling look — that's Arctic, Stardust, Bahamas, Champagne, and Holly. Smooth lenses produce a soft, even glow that reads as solid color from the street — that's Blue Taffy, Pink Taffy, and Cotton Candy.

These are retrofit bulbs with standard C9 (E17) bases, so they screw into any standard C9 stringer or socket line. Pair them with our C7/C9 stringers if you're building a new run. Every product here is backed by our Reindeer Proof™ Warranty.

What are ColorCraft® LED Christmas light bulbs?

They are C9 ProCore® LED replacement bulbs sold in curated multi-color palettes — the same Color Palettes as our ColorCraft® light strings — instead of a single color. Each pack repeats the palette colors evenly along your roofline or outline.

Do ColorCraft® bulbs fit standard C9 sockets?

Yes. They use the standard C9/E17 screw base, so they fit any standard C9 stringer wire or commercial socket line.

What is the difference between faceted and smooth palettes?

Faceted lenses (Arctic, Stardust, Bahamas, Champagne, Holly) refract the light for sparkle. Smooth lenses (Blue Taffy, Pink Taffy, Cotton Candy) diffuse it into a clean, even glow. Both use the same ProCore® polycarbonate lens construction.

Where should I use C9 palette bulbs?
