C9 Christmas light stringers are commercial-grade empty socket line with E17 sockets — the same system professional holiday lighting installers use on rooflines. Pick your length, socket spacing, and wire color, then add any C9 bulb, LED or incandescent. They work great with our ProCore® LED bulbs.


Pre-cut stringers come in 25', 50', and 100' lengths with male and female plugs so you can connect runs end-to-end. For custom lengths, 500' Light Line socket spools cut to any run — just add slide-on vampire plugs that match the wire. Every stringer is 18 AWG wire, UL Listed, and rated for indoor and outdoor use.

How to Choose a C9 Christmas Light Stringer

Start with spacing. 12" spacing is the classic roofline look and our best seller; 6" spacing doubles the sockets per foot for a denser line of light; the 500' spools also come in 18" spacing for long commercial runs. The product title always lists length, spacing, and wire color, and the socket count is in every description.

Then match the wire to the house: green wire disappears against greenery and dark trim, white wire blends into white eaves and gutters. Pre-cut 25', 50', and 100' stringers are ready to use out of the box and connect end-to-end with male and female plugs. The 500' Light Line spools ship without plugs so you can cut exact custom lengths — finish each run with slide-on vampire plugs that match the wire type listed on the product (SPT1 or SPT2; the two are not interchangeable).

Finish with bulbs: any C9 (E17) bulb fits, LED or incandescent. For the commercial-grade option professional installers use, pair your stringers with our ProCore® C9 LED bulbs.
