This 250' spool of 18 AWG SPT2 zipcord wire is the foundation of a clean, professional Christmas light installation. Cut it to any length you need to build custom extension cords — the same approach used by professional holiday lighting installers to keep every job looking neat and uncluttered, without a tangle of mismatched extension cords in sight.

It also works great for building custom C7 or C9 socket stringers at any length and spacing you need. Combine with our replacement C7 or C9 sockets and slide-on vampire plugs to create a completely custom socket wire run from scratch. Pair it with one of our socket wire spools for large installations where you need both custom socket runs and custom power extension lengths.

SPT2 features thicker insulation than SPT1, making it the heavier-duty choice for outdoor applications, higher-load runs, or situations where extra durability is needed.

I looked at Home depot, walmart (online) and other retailers, online including ebay. It isn't cheaper anywhere else.

The cord is a great cord and I finished using the entire roll. Going to buy more.

Buy the 500 ft roll. I'm doing the entire yard (with the vampire plugs) and much easier and better than extension cords. The power extension cord has three plugs at the end and I only use one or two and that is a place where rain can get in and cause shorts. The vampire plugs can eliminate that and also put where you need them.
