LED Christmas Lights Buyers Guide
In this day and age, there are many types of Christmas lights. From mini to “berry” light strings, there are sets for any Christmas light fanatic out there. At The Christmas Light Emporium, we understand how LED Christmas lights can truly brighten a person’s Christmas. Christmas is about spending time with family and friends, but the color lights that you decorate your home with also bring out holiday cheer that everyone looks forward to on an annual basis. Because of this, here is an LED Christmas light guide you may find useful.
LED Mini Light Strings are also known as M5 LED lights. They were originally designed to look like the traditional incandescent mini lights we all used to use. There are a few different styles you can buy these lights in, some of the new LED mini lights are actually made to look identical to the older incandescent counterparts. So, if you love the look of traditional incandescent mini lights, you can have the best of both worlds with LED mini lights.
These lights don’t look exactly like mini lights; however, they serve the same function. They emulate the look of mini lights, and are often called “polka dot” lights. These wide angle LED lights disperse colorful light in a wide, circular pattern, rather than straight out of the light.
C6 light strings are often referred to as “strawberry” lights. These light strings feature ¾ inch diameter faceted LED bulbs that are permanently affixed to wire. These LED C6 lights are a bit brighter than the LED mini lights, and they are slightly larger. You can use these C6 string lights on both indoor and outdoor applications, including Christmas trees and garlands.
If you love the traditional incandescent outdoor Christmas light bulbs, but you’re looking for an alternative to glass and overhead cost to power them, LED C7 Lights are the most comparable. C7 lights are also permanently affixed to wire, and they are comparable to ⅞ inch diameter smooth bulbs, just like traditional incandescent lights. Though these lights are most commonly used outdoors, they can be used inside to create a richly-colored Christmas cheer!
Getting your lights in place, plugging them in and realizing that you have a couple burned out bulbs can make or break your home’s decoction. Be sure that you’re checking each bulb prior to climbing the ladder. Be sure that each C7 LED bulb is tightened and brightly lit! Although LED bulbs are less likely to burn out, they can over time. Replace your burnt out C7 LED bulbs with C7 LED replacement bulbs from The Christmas Light Emporium. Our C7 smooth opaque lens Christmas light bulbs look like traditional C7 bulbs, with an added LED flare.
Transparent C9 LED replacement bulbs can be tough to find, unless you’re online at The Christmas Light Emporium. It can be tough to find any bulb you’re looking for in LED form. To follow good practice, be sure you’re checking each bulb prior to climbing the ladder. Be sure each LED bulb in your C9 light strand is tight and brightly lit. If you do come across a bulb that needs replacement, our C9 LED replacement bulbs are here to save your Christmas spirit!
Just like it states in the name, these LED “Berry” lights feature a string of berry-shaped bulbs that are permanently affixed to wire. They’re 12mm in diameter and about ½ an inch, and are perfect for wreaths and garlands. Their unique shape is often preferred over the traditional cone shaped C6 light strings, which makes them a popular choice and a great addition to any indoor or outdoor decorations.
We all love when the holidays arrive! There are businesses all around town that take advantage of the commercial application of LED light sets, and with our low-voltage lights, we can help businesses and cities save money. Daisy-chained controllers and connectors will allow your building to produce an amazing effect, even on a large scale display.
If you’re looking for a set of LED lights to include in your homemade wreaths, on your desk at work or even inside your car, battery operated LED light strings are a premier choice. You can easily hide the wire in the wreath, behind pictures on your desk or tucked into windows of your car. Choose from red, green, orange, white, blue and rainbow!
