How to Choose Socket Stuffer® Covers

Match the socket size first: C7 covers fit E12 sockets, C9 covers fit E17 sockets — the same two sizes as the bulbs they replace. The screw-in design fits any standard or non-standard socket because the wide cap seals against the top of the socket rather than pressing into it.

Then match the color to your wire — green disappears against green stringers and greenery, white blends with white wire and light trim, black matches black wire and dark rooflines. Each pack covers 25 sockets, so count the empty sockets in your runs and round up.

What are Socket Stuffer® covers for?

Yes — the screw-in design holds the wide cap firmly against the top of the socket, making a tight seal on any standard or non-standard C7 or C9 socket. That is what makes them universal, unlike press-fit covers that only work with specific socket dimensions.

What is the difference between the C7 and C9 versions?

Socket size. C7 covers thread into E12 sockets and C9 covers thread into E17 sockets — choose the same size as the bulbs your stringer takes.
