Red Christmas Lights

Red Christmas Lights

Red is the color most people reach for first, and it is the one that has to match across a display. A red roofline, red-wrapped tree trunks and a red-and-white candy cane walkway only look right when every format is the same shade of red under the same LED chip. This collection is built for that: every red LED light we carry, in one place, so the 5mm string on the shrubs matches the C9 bulb on the roof.

What Is In This Collection

  • Red LED string lights in 5mm wide-angle, M5 faceted and C6 strawberry lens styles, on green wire, in 4" and 6" spacing. Use these for trees, wreaths, garland, shrubs and wrapping trunks.
  • Red C9 and C7 ProCore® bulbs, smooth and faceted, for rooflines (C9) and window and door outlines (C7). Screw into standard C9 or C7 stringers and spools.
  • Ready-to-hang red C9 string light sets: 25 ProCore® bulbs pre-matched to a 25' stringer with 12" socket spacing, for a roofline you can hang straight out of the box.
  • Red net lights and icicle lights for shrubs, hedges and eaves.
  • Red LED rope light in 150' spools for outlining, sign work and long straight runs.
  • Effect versions: DreamSpark® slow-fade red strings, SuperSpark® strobe red strings and C9 strobe bulbs, and ColorCraft® blends that lead with red, such as Holly (red, green and lime green).

Pairing Red

Red and warm white is the classic pairing and reads well from the street. Red and green is the traditional combination; alternate strings on a tree or alternate bulbs on a C9 roofline. Red with cool white and blue gives a patriotic scheme you can leave up from November through July. Red and gold is the warmer, more formal look for wreaths and garland.

Buying Notes

All red strings and bulbs here are rated for outdoor use and are covered by our Reindeer Proof™ Warranty. If you are covering a roofline, order C9 bulbs plus a stringer or spool in the socket spacing you want; string lights are not made for rooflines. Not sure how many strings a tree needs? Red Christmas Lights FAQ

Answers to the most common red christmas lights shopping and comparison questions.

Are these red Christmas lights for outdoor use?

Yes. Every red string, C7 and C9 bulb, net, icicle and rope light in this collection is rated for outdoor use and covered by the Reindeer Proof™ Warranty. The string lights are the same professional-grade lights used on commercial displays.

Which red lights should I use on a roofline?

Use red C9 ProCore® LED bulbs in a C9 stringer or bulk spool. C9 is the roofline format: a large, bright bulb on a socket line you can cut and clip to the shingle or gutter line. Mini string lights are not made for rooflines.

Will red 5mm strings match red C9 bulbs?

Yes. Our red LEDs are matched across formats, so red mini strings on shrubs and red C9 bulbs on the roof read as the same red from the street. Mixing brands is where mismatched reds usually come from.

Do you have red lights that fade or twinkle?

Yes. DreamSpark® red strings slowly fade at random for a soft, moving effect. SuperSpark® red strings and C9 strobe bulbs give a sharp sparkle where every bulb strobes. Both are sold alongside the steady-on red lights in this collection.

What colors go with red Christmas lights?

Warm white is the most common partner and gives the classic look. Red and green is the traditional pairing. Red with cool white and blue works for a display that also serves the 4th of July, and red with gold suits wreaths and garland.

Red Christmas Lights — One Color, Every Format

Red is the anchor color of traditional Christmas decorating. This collection gathers every red LED light we stock: mini light strings, C7 and C9 ProCore® bulbs, net and icicle lights, rope light, and the DreamSpark® and SuperSpark® effect versions, so you can match red across a whole display.
