LED Christmas Lights

LED Christmas Lights

This collection brings our LED Christmas lights together, from the mini lights on your tree to the C9 bulbs on your roofline, so you can light your whole house in matched colors. Every light here is rated for indoor and outdoor use, and our LED light strings, ProCore® C7 and C9 bulbs and 25' sets are backed by our Reindeer Proof™ Warranty.

What Is In This Collection

  • LED string lights in four lens styles: 5mm wide-angle, M5 faceted, C6 strawberry and G12 raspberry. Most come in 50, 70 or 100-light strings (G12 in 70) at 4" or 6" spacing, mostly on green wire with white-wire options.
  • C7 and C9 ProCore® LED bulbs in smooth and faceted styles that screw into standard C7 and C9 stringers.
  • C7 and C9 string light sets: each complete 25' set includes 25 bulbs and a 25-socket stringer.
  • Net and icicle lights: 4' x 6' 5mm net lights with 100 lights for hedges and shrubs, and 70-light M5 icicle lights on white wire for eaves.
  • Effect lines: DreamSpark® strings fade slowly at random, SuperSpark® strings strobe on every light, QuadSpark® strings strobe every fourth light while the other three stay steady, and Dazzle™ strings add a cool white strobe on every fourth light. Twinkle versions are available too.
  • ColorCraft® palettes: multi-color strings and C9 bulbs such as Holly (red, green, lime green), Havana (teal, frosted lime green, frosted pink), Candy (pink, orange, gold) and Champagne (warm white, pure white, cool white).
  • RGB options: C9 RGB color-changing ProCore® bulbs and Twinkly app-controlled RGB strings.

How to Choose Your LED Christmas Lights

Start with where the light goes. Rooflines take C9 bulbs in a C9 stringer in the spacing you want. Windows, doorway outlines and wrapped trees take C7. Trees, wreaths, garland and shrubs take string lights, and 4" spacing is the most common choice on greenery. String lights are not made for rooflines.

Then pick a lens style. 5mm wide-angle is the modern standard with a crisp point of light. M5 has an elongated faceted lens. G12 is a 12mm globe, only slightly larger than 5mm. C6 strawberry is the largest of the four string lens styles.

Choose your color. Warm white (3000K) is the soft, classic glow for traditional homes, indoor trees and garland. Cool white (6400K) is the crisp blue-white look for modern homes and icicle lights. Solid colors include Red, Green, Blue, Yellow/Gold, Orange/Amber, Pink, Purple and Teal, plus traditional Multicolor.

Buying Notes

A C9 ProCore® bulb draws 0.84 watts (2.25 watts for SuperSpark® C9 strobe bulbs), so long roofline runs stay light on power. Need clips, stringers or plugs? See Christmas light supplies and accessories. For string counts by tree size, use the Christmas Tree Light Calculator.

LED Christmas Lights FAQ

Answers to the most common led christmas lights shopping and comparison questions.

What types of LED Christmas lights are in this collection?

String lights in 5mm, M5, C6 and G12 lens styles; C7 and C9 ProCore® bulbs and complete 25' bulb sets; 5mm net lights and M5 icicle lights; DreamSpark®, SuperSpark®, QuadSpark® and Dazzle™ effect strings; ColorCraft® multi-color palettes; and RGB color-changing C9 bulbs and Twinkly strings.

Which LED lights should I use on my roofline?

Use C9 ProCore® LED bulbs in a C9 stringer, or a complete 25' C9 string light set. Icicle lights also hang along eaves. Mini string lights (5mm, M5, C6 and G12) are not made for rooflines; use them on trees, wreaths, garland and shrubs.

What is the difference between warm white and cool white LED lights?

Warm white (3000K) is a soft amber-white glow that looks like classic Christmas lights. Cool white (6400K) is a crisp blue-white. Pick one tone per surface; mixing warm and cool white on the same tree or roofline looks uneven.

What spacing should I choose for LED string lights?

4" spacing gives the densest look and is the most common choice for trees, wreaths and garland. 6" spacing spreads the same number of lights over a longer run. The 25-light, 15"-spacing SuperSpark® string is an overlay: add it over steady lights for Rockefeller Center-style sparkle without going overboard.

What do DreamSpark®, SuperSpark® and QuadSpark® mean?

They are effect lines. DreamSpark® lights fade slowly at random. SuperSpark® strobes on every light, which is extremely flashy. QuadSpark® strobes every fourth light while the other three stay steady in the same color.

Are LED Christmas lights safe to use outdoors?

Yes. Every LED light in this collection, from the mini light strings to the net lights, icicle lights, C7 and C9 bulbs and 25' sets, is rated for indoor and outdoor use. For outdoor runs, keep plug connections off the ground, add a drip loop before each connection, and stay within the end-to-end limit listed on each product page.

Can LED Christmas light strings be connected end to end?

Yes. The maximum number of strings you can connect end to end depends on the product, so check the product page for its exact limit and stay under it on every circuit. To work out how many strings your tree needs, use the Christmas Tree Light Calculator on this site.
