Pairing Green

Red and green is the traditional Christmas pairing; alternate strings on a tree or alternate bulbs on a C9 line. Green and warm white keeps the look natural, with the warm white reading as candlelight against the greenery. Green with blue and cool white is a cooler modern scheme. Solid green on tree trunks with warm white in the canopy is a favorite of professional installers.

Are green Christmas lights on green wire?

Yes. Our green string lights come on green wire, which disappears into evergreen branches, garland and hedges so the light appears to come from inside the greenery. Some formats are also offered on white wire.

How do I do a red and green display that looks right?

Keep the formats matched: red and green strings of the same lens style on the tree, and red and green C9 bulbs alternating in the same stringer on the roof. Mixing a 5mm string with a C6 string, or two brands of bulb, is what makes red and green look uneven.

Which green lights are for a roofline?

Green C9 ProCore® LED bulbs in a C9 stringer or bulk spool. C7 bulbs are for window and door outlines, and mini strings are for trees and shrubs, not rooflines.

Can I leave green lights up for St. Patrick's Day?

Yes. Green LED lights are rated for outdoor use year-round, and many customers leave green trunk wraps and hedge nets up through March. Adding a few SuperSpark® strobe green strings gives the display motion for the holiday.

Do you have green lights that sparkle or fade?

Yes. SuperSpark® green strings and C9 strobe bulbs sparkle with every bulb strobing. DreamSpark® green strings fade slowly at random for a softer effect. Both sit alongside the steady-on green lights in this collection.
