How to Choose

Match the base size to your stringer wire: C7 uses an E12 candelabra base, C9 uses an E17 intermediate base. Choose LED for energy efficiency and longevity. Faceted lens distributes light at multiple angles for maximum sparkle; smooth lens produces a cleaner, more uniform glow.

How do I know if I need C7 or C9 replacement bulbs?

C7 is a smaller bulb using an E12 candelabra base — used primarily for windows, doorways, and wrapping trees. C9 is a larger bulb using an E17 intermediate base — used primarily for rooflines, gutters, and architectural outlines. Check the socket size on your existing stringer wire.

What is a Twinkle bulb?

A Twinkle bulb is a C7 or C9 ProCore® bulb that blinks on and off independently at a random interval. When multiple Twinkle bulbs are used on the same string, they create a twinkling effect across the full run — each bulb blinks on its own schedule, not in sync.

Can I mix faceted and smooth bulbs on the same stringer?

Yes, as long as the base size matches. C7 faceted and smooth bulbs share the E12 base and are interchangeable. The two lens styles produce visually different light characters but function identically.

Are ProCore® bulbs dimmable?

Standard steady-on ProCore® LED bulbs are dimmable. Specialty effect bulbs (Twinkle) may not be dimmable or may display undesirable behavior when used with a dimmer.
