Pairing Blue

Blue and cool white is the cleanest winter look and the most popular blue scheme. Blue and warm white is softer and less icy. Blue with red and cool white is the patriotic scheme. Blue and purple, or blue and teal, are the newer "cool spectrum" displays; the Arctic and Bahamas ColorCraft® blends give you those palettes on one string.

Are blue Christmas lights brighter or dimmer than other colors?

Blue LEDs look very bright at night and carry farther than red or green at the same power, which is why blue is common on rooflines and large trees. Up close they can look slightly less intense than cool white; from the street they read as the boldest color in most displays.

What white goes with blue Christmas lights?

Cool white is the usual choice and gives the crisp winter look. Warm white with blue is softer and less icy. Both whites are in stock in the same lens styles and bulb sizes as our blue lights, so the formats match.

Which blue lights are right for a roofline?

Blue C9 ProCore® LED bulbs in a C9 stringer or spool. C7 bulbs are for windows and door outlines, and mini strings are for trees, wreaths and shrubs, not rooflines.

Do you have blue lights that fade or sparkle?

Yes. DreamSpark® blue strings and nets fade slowly at random. SuperSpark® blue strings and C9 strobe bulbs sparkle sharply. Both are sold alongside the steady-on blue lights in this collection.

What are the ColorCraft® blue blends?

ColorCraft® strings mix several colors on one string in a set pattern. Arctic and Bahamas are the blends built around blue; they give a blue-led display more depth than solid blue while staying in a cool palette.
