Multicolor is the Christmas light most of us grew up with: red, green, blue, orange and gold repeating down the string. It is still the most forgiving choice for a tree and the fastest way to make a whole yard read as festive. This collection includes the traditional mix in every format we make, plus the ColorCraft® blends that put a designed palette on one string.

What Is In This Collection

  • Multicolor LED string lights in 5mm wide-angle, M5 faceted and C6 strawberry lens styles, 4" and 6" spacing, on green wire with some styles on white or black wire.
  • Multicolor C9 and C7 ProCore® bulbs, smooth and faceted, sold in mixed packs so the color order repeats evenly down a roofline (C9) or window outline (C7).
  • Ready-to-hang multicolor C9 string light sets: 25 ProCore® bulbs pre-matched to a 25' stringer with 12" socket spacing, for a roofline you can hang straight out of the box.
  • Multicolor icicle, net and rope lights for eaves, shrubs and long outlines.
  • Effect versions: Twinkle multicolor strings, DreamSpark® slow-fade multicolor, and SuperSpark® strobe multicolor strings and C9 bulbs.
  • ColorCraft® blends — designed multi-color palettes such as Holly, Arctic, Bahamas and Havana that read as a theme rather than a random mix. There are more than forty ColorCraft® products in this collection.

Traditional Multicolor vs ColorCraft®

Traditional multicolor uses the five classic colors in a fixed order and matches across every format, so a 5mm tree string and a C9 roofline bulb pack read as the same set. ColorCraft® blends use two to four chosen colors in a repeating pattern, so the display has a palette; use them when you want a coordinated look without buying separate single-color strings.

What colors are in multicolor Christmas lights?

Traditional multicolor strings repeat red, green, blue, orange and gold down the string. Multicolor C7 and C9 bulb packs use the same five colors so bulbs and strings match. ColorCraft® blends use a chosen palette of two to four colors instead.

Do multicolor C9 bulbs come pre-mixed?

Yes. Multicolor C9 and C7 ProCore® bulb packs are sold with the colors mixed in a repeating order, so you screw them into a stringer or spool in sequence and the pattern repeats evenly along the roofline.

What is the difference between multicolor and ColorCraft®?

Multicolor is the classic five-color mix. ColorCraft® is a family of designed blends, each using two to four specific colors in a pattern, such as Holly or Arctic. Choose multicolor for the traditional look and ColorCraft® when you want a themed palette on one string.

Which multicolor lights are best for a Christmas tree?

Are multicolor lights available with twinkle or fade effects?

Yes. Twinkle multicolor strings have a portion of bulbs that blink. DreamSpark® multicolor strings fade slowly at random. SuperSpark® multicolor strings and C9 bulbs strobe on every bulb.
