The Fine Print, in Plain English
The full terms live in our customer service FAQ — here’s what actually matters day to day.
- Direct checkout only. Cash back is earned and redeemed only on orders completed through our store checkout. Third-party checkouts — Facebook, TikTok, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and the like — don’t earn or redeem store credit.
- Not the same order. Store credit can’t be applied to the order it was earned on.
- When you can redeem. Your order total must be at least $100 and at least 3× your cash back balance. With $50 in cash back, for example, you can use it on any order of $150 or more. Your full available balance is applied at checkout.
- Returns and cancellations. If an order is cancelled, returned, or refunded, the cash back it earned is removed from your account.
- Your balance is easy to find. Log in and visit your profile page — any available store credit is displayed there.
- Thresholds can change. Earning thresholds may change from time to time, and the program is subject to change.
Refer a Friend. You Both Win.
Every account gets a personal referral link. When a friend places their first order through it, you both get store credit — automatically, no codes to chase down.
Log in and open the Referrals page in your account to grab your link or send invites by email. To qualify, your friend's first order must be $100 or more — one referral reward per new customer, and no, you can't refer yourself.

How do I know if my order qualifies?
Qualifying orders are those with a subtotal exceeding predefined thresholds, after any existing discounts, store credits, and similar adjustments have been applied — placed directly through our store checkout.
When do I get my store credit?
Earned cash back is automatically added to your account at The Christmas Light Emporium 7 days after the qualifying order has been paid in full.
Where can I see my balance?
Log into your account and visit your profile page. If you have any available store credit, it will be displayed there.
How do I use my credit?
Make sure your order total is at least $100 and at least 3× your cash back balance (with $50 in cash back, that’s $150 or more), then proceed to checkout. You’ll see a checkbox asking if you would like to apply your available store credit — select it and your full available balance is applied.
Store credit cannot be applied to the same order on which it was earned.

Do orders through Facebook, TikTok, or express checkouts count?
No. Cash back store credit is only earned and redeemed on orders completed directly through our store checkout. Checkouts completed through third parties like Facebook, TikTok, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, or Google Pay will not earn cash back and cannot redeem available store credit.
