Icicle lights hang straight down from a roofline in drops of different lengths, giving a house the look of fresh icicles along the eaves. Every set in this collection uses 70 M5 LEDs on white wire, so they blend in against white trim, gutters and light-colored fascia.

Steady, Twinkle or DreamSpark®

Steady-on icicle lights give an even, consistent glow along the roofline. Right now you'll find warm white (3000K), cool white (6400K), blue and multicolor.

Twinkle sets have every fifth LED twinkle while the rest stay lit, for a subtle sparkle in warm white or cool white.

DreamSpark® slow fade sets fade gently on and off, each LED on its own rhythm, so the icicles shimmer instead of blink. Choose warm white, multicolor, or one of our ColorCraft® blends: Champagne (warm white, pure white and cool white) or Stardust (blue, purple and teal). How Many Icicle Light Sets Do You Need?

Measure the edges where you want icicles. Each set covers about 7.5 feet including its lead and tail, so a 30-foot eave takes about four sets. Icicle lights look best on horizontal edges like gutters, eaves, awnings and porch lines, where the drops hang freely and can be seen from the street. For roof peaks and outlines, C9 bulbs on a stringer are usually the better fit. Hang your sets with Christmas light clips so the top wire stays straight.

What are Christmas icicle lights used for?

Icicle lights hang from roof edges, eaves, gutters, awnings, overhangs and porch lines to create a dripping icicle effect. Our sets have staggered drops of 10, 16.5 and 19.5 inches for a natural look.

How long is each icicle light set?

Each set has 70 M5 LEDs with 6.5 feet of lit length and 7.5 feet total, including a 6 inch lead and a 6 inch tail. Drops are spaced 6 inches apart and the LEDs are spaced 3 inches apart.

How many icicle light sets can I connect together?

Our M5 icicle sets connect up to 43 sets end to end from a single outlet. Each set draws 4.8 watts and has a fused male plug. Always confirm the limit on the product page of the set you buy.

What is the difference between twinkle and DreamSpark® icicle lights?

On twinkle sets, every fifth LED twinkles while the rest stay lit. DreamSpark® sets fade each LED gently on and off at its own pace, so the whole set shimmers with a soft, slow glow instead of blinking.

Can I use icicle lights outdoors?

Yes. Our icicle lights are rated for indoor and outdoor use and UL Listed. Single-molded, sealed sockets keep out moisture, so they are built for rain, snow and ice.

What wire color do your icicle lights come in?
