Does It Synchronize to Music?
No. The GFade 8 is an extremely feature rich 8 channel chase controller. It does not synchronize to music or have any audio capability.

Do I Need A Computer to Program Custom Patterns?
Yes. You can control many of aspects of the GFade by connecting to it from a mobile browser, but in order to program custom patterns, you will need to connect to the GFade through a desktop or laptop computer..

Using the built in animation editor, accessible via a standard web browser over wifi, you can setup your animations to function in any way you like. Each on and off function is programmable on a timeline. Hence, you can set both the on and the off time for each output independently and to any value that suits your need. The GFade is the most flexible chase controller ever created.
