How To Craft Your Own Pine Cone Garland

What You’ll Need:

  • Garland
  • Battery operated outdoor LED Christmas lights (any color)
  • Gold spray paint
  • Cream, gold and/or brown ribbon
  • Hot glue gun
  • Burnt orange spray paint
  • Pine cones; small branches, twigs, seed pods; and any other natural item you’d like to add
  • Twist ties

Directions:

This garland will create a more rustic scene, and it’ll be a fun project to do! First, you’ll need to spray paint some of the pine cones; small branches, twigs, seed pods; and any other natural item you’d like to add. Spray a few of these items with gold, and a few with burnt orange. It’s good to have a variety of natural and vivid colors, so be sure you leave a few items in their natural colors. While you’re waiting for the spray painted items to dry, you can attach the garland. Once the spray painted items have dried, it’s time to assemble your battery operated outdoor LED Christmas lights to the garland. Use the twist ties to attach them snugly to the garland. Once the spray painted items have dried, it’s time to attach them to the garland, too. Warm up your hot glue gun and glue them every 5 to 6 inches apart. For a more extravagant look, bundle and glue a handful of sticks and twigs together, then attach them to the garland. From there, you’ll want to take your cream, gold and/or brown ribbons and tie them into big, fluffy bows. Glue them every 12 to 16 inches for a graceful look.
