Spacer/Extension cords are a big advantage for commercial/coaxial lights

A Bonsai Gallery at a botanical garden in Fort Pierce, Florida is all lighted up for the holiday show. Putting lights in Bonsai is unorthodox (a few delicate ones are spotlighted), but the display is beautiful, in many cases shows the trees' structures in a whole new way, and has made new friends for the collection. The trees are spray irrigated every day, so water makes conventional plugs and the awkward extension cords (even vampires) unworkable. These 12' extensions are perfect for connecting trees in a line at low cost. The lights and extensions have made the project feasible and affordable.

The “commercial” lights, which are notably resistant to water, are a bit of a specialty item. In our case, they’re being used as part of the equipment for lighting a large bonsai gallery in a botanical garden for Christmas. Everyone agrees it’s a bit weird, but the results this year will impress visitors.
