What's the difference between the gasket and the cover?

The gasket goes between a connected male and female plug pair — it seals the joint to keep moisture out of the connection. The cover caps the open end of an unused female plug — it blocks moisture from entering a plug that isn't connected to anything.

Which cover color should I choose?

Choose the color that matches your extension cords or light strings — clear works with any color, green blends with green wire installations, white blends with white wire. The color is cosmetic only; all versions provide the same protection.

Can I buy just the gaskets without the covers?
